a couple weeks back, "dbg" and i caught up with the kogi truck over in their usual spot in torrance. guess who was running with them that day? get shaved!
so while waiting for our kogi eats, we figured, why not, we're here, let's try it! here's mine...passion flavor with ice cream inside, and topped off with a bit of condensed milk. yum!
so my co-worker & friend "dbg" goes up to san francisco for the weekend, and comes back talking about lots of different food, including this it's-it ice cream sandwich. she didn't end up trying it while she was there, but tried it after she got back after coming across it at her local market. a few days later, i was shopping at the ralph's fresh fare near the office, and happened to come across it in the freezer section. so i bought and was eager to get home.
i quickly opened the box, and found 3 ice cream sandwiches in the box. it's unlike any other ice cream sandwich i've had...the ones i usually get our chocolate cookies with either vanilla or neopolitan flavor ice cream in between. and i've had the kind with the ice cream sandwiched between two chocolate chip cookies. what makes this it's-it ice cream sandwich different? it's plain vanilla ice cream, sandwiched between two yummy oatmeal cookies, which is then covered in chocolate. yum.
